We had the parade, had the turkey... and now have the snow, lol. I was gonna pick that last little round of greens from under the caps but know I don't need to bother after a couple days of cold and snow. Can't really complain, autumn was lovely and it's December now. First batch of microgreens will be ready to harvest in a few days :)

We're getting some much needed rain this morning, have topped 1 inch now with more to come thru the day. After a very dry autumn it's good to see. Last winter was the wettest on record here but it doesn't look like a repeat of that this winter. Carrots & collards are still doing ok. Now it's time to take seed inventory.

A friend gave me a few ginger plants that I put in the garden. With the cooler weather, the stalks turned brown and some fell off. I guess this is normal as I have never grown ginger before. Would love to have some ginger next year! Waiting to see how it goes. 🤔

Not much going on here in the garden, it was cold not quite freezing, then we had daytime temps in the 50's.

However, my Aspabroc just won't quit, this today from my seven plants.

Brrrrr it's cold outside, temp dipped into the upper teens over the last 2 nights with last shot at 20F tonite. Picked as much collards as I could before it hit and cooked/saved much for the freezer. The carrot tops are wiltish looking but the roots are good. Both crops may be ok as temps increase more moderately well into the New Years. The young spinach seedlings are at first true leaf stage and they brushed off those cold teens a-ok. Starting pruning the pears trees over the weekend, hope to prune up all of the fruit trees by early Feb. Time to take seed inventory.

RD, over on the kitchen table/garden forum ( https://www.gardenweb.com/discussions/6477228/still-not-fixed-houzz#n=12 ) there are several other posters having posting problems too. So far I've been ok, but I use a desk top pc and others with problems seem to use tablets/iphones.

Vgkg, I tried to post from my PC earlier, but I had to convert them to Jpegs-so they were all blurry. Hopefully these will be better quality.

I have picked all the squash, so the tomatoes are all i have left (maybe a little asparagus and a few sweet potatoes)
