Remodeling Design Dilemma

Reverse split enclosed staircase

Looking to purchase a house which has an enclosed staircase but has two entrances - three steps each - one from living room and one from the kitchen. They meet on a central landing then go straight upstairs. What is this design called and any image resources? Thanks.

I am not sure, it sounds odd. Can you take pics ? Moving a staircase is a huge money issue IMO you love it as it is or make sure the offer you make can be low enough to cover that cost .I think it is 2 raised areas for stairs is it possible to just have the stairs go straight up from the entry ? I need pics or if you can a sketch

It is called a dual staircase, and can be just the 3 steps you have seen, or could be two longer sets of steps with the central landing up higher.
