Flood Worries in Florida

last year

We own a small single level block home in Naples,FL. Considering lifting the home since we have been flooded twice in the past 3 years! (Hurricane Ian gave us 4 feet and Hurricane Milton 4”). We need stairs that are open like these that would dry quickly. We would start the stairs about 21” above our current grade so likely would only get wet in the worst case scenario. Would you be willing to share the manufacturer of these stairs. Are they over the top expensive?

Hello! This was custom designed and fabricated. I designed and had a steel fabricator make the stingers snd the railings and the wood came from local trees here in upstate ny. You could check with local fabricators to achieve a similar look.

That’s so much for the quick response. They’re beautiful stairs. Im sure it was pretty expensive since they’re custom. We’re considering some kind of a wood look composite since they could get wet. I’ll see about a local fabricator. There must be one. I appreciate your response.
