I would put in wall to wall Billy Bookcases with doors on the bottom and open on the top so it makes great storage and also great display areas.

Billy bookcases are a great idea. There are tons of them used on Facebook Marketplace, some with a lot of life still left in them. You can put doors on them or have them as open shelves.

You could also get a large buffet, dresser, or credenza to store kids stuff in.

I find @Kendrah's suggestion for Billy bookcase a great one. Here's how they can look in you room, available at Ikea at a very reasonable price.

I suggest you bring your 4 chairs more under the table and have them face each other parallel to the table side.

I see lots of smaller storage items - I think this often happens as we add pieces over time. If it were me, I would keep an eye on Facebook Marketplace and find a large sideboard you like (with lots of closed storage) and use one larger piece (with art above)

I would do a nice buffet type storage there to holsd all the stuff and then invest ina piece of art you like for above the buffet
