Renovation plans for a residential house

Hello everybody, my wife and I are planning to enhance our house. Currently we have a house that looks like this.

We are only planning on enhancing the 1rst floor of the house, upstairs there is nothing to do for now.

This is a detailed view of each room of the house below :

All the walls here are full bricks walls.

There are 2 things to consider, the garage is 2 steps lower than the rest of the house as well as the dressing.

What we'd like to achieve is to have all the house at the same level, so garage would become a part of the house too.

We'd like to have a small office because we are sometimes working from home and we'd like to have a space at the 1rst floor too. We'd like to have a big area with living room and kitchen as open as it is possible to be and have bigger areas.

So far we have made plans that look like this :

So far we kind of like what we planned, but we would like to have some feedback and maybe ideas from the community :)

If you could provide some insights and maybe ideas to enhance our project, we would be very grateful to you :)

All that work and you end up with a toilet in the new bedroom. Yikes. And I don't see a door into the bathroom.

The sectional faces the staircase....

How do you get around the dining table to the kitchen when people are seated? The office is accessed through garage door and there is no window.

You plan needs some tweaking but I'm stumped.

Would this be somewhere outside the U.S., like Finland or Novia Scotia? Designs with a "public" toilet room containing a sink the size of a dinner plate, closet wardrobes, or small pantries, are more acceptable features than in the U.S. I also spot what might be a wood stove as heat.

All the fore mentioned things and some of your plans are a big no. BTW I have no idea the connection between Finland and Nova Scotia I live in Canada we have the same basic needs as anyone in the US and that includes Nova Scotia . We do however not always think bigger is better . You actually NEED an architect but you will some helpful ideas here if we have pictures and detailed floor plan of the orignal house . A list of needs you have for sure .Yes we do need to know where you are. Post all of that here in jpeg format in comments DO NOT start another post .

The enclosed parking is FAR more desirable than the undesirable plan that you came up with. And it is being charitable calling it undesirable rather than repulsive.
