My cabinet color is similar and this is my backsplash

Google images of kitchens with medium brown cabinets and find the ones you/they like. Gather inspiration images until you can identify the core components that you really love and feel you can apply to your space.

if the occupant can produce "inspiration" pics its a good place to start. Do they know how to search on houzz or other? I was thinking cashew maple cabs ..... this image says caramel maple.....this way you can zero in on the cab finish for options..
