IMO backsplash and wall color are the last things you choose . I hate quartz so can't help with colors but there are so many beautiful white granites why not at least check them out and BTW also great to use for the backspalsh and it can go behind any cooking applaince too.

If you do a light colored granite make sure you test a sample for staining. We found this out in our previous house the hard way so we now have quartz which is impervious to staining for us.

Yes. Seems to be why most of our friends and family went with quartz. I am just struggling to pick a design/color as not a huge fan of the large “lines” and circles etc

First your contractor is not who decides what you do. I have never had a granite that stained and yes maybe it needs to be sealed but still better than fake plastic quartz in a space where hot pots are the norm. PLease go google white granites and see the choices BTW where I live now real stone is ahuge selling point .

Our Pentel lattice quartz is very ”quiet” but our cabinets are not white. If you have already decided on your backsplash a similar color in the countertop looks cohesive. Are you able to take samples of your other finishes to a stone yard? That would be the best way to tell how things will look together.
