supporting quartz for my kitchen.

I already ordered my quartz for my kitchen. I was planning on a 45” overhang on one end. I’m really concerned about how to support the area and still look good! I’m in a panic because quartz comes next week.
I bought 2 -3” square legs from cabinet place.
Also I have a real brick floor.

That’s a big piece of stone. I would build a welded steel frame bolted to the cabinets and the legs. You have to put off Install of the island portion until you have this figured out.

The quartz is NOT self- supporting. There has to be some type of framework structure to support it

Can you see the apron framework used to support this top?

If you want the framework to be more functional, you can add drawers in the apron.

@beverlyfladdeziner I want something like your 2nd photo. The white kitchen. Do you know how this was built to support?
One idea I had was to put a 30” cabinet on one side. This will leave about 15” on end and 24 on opposite. Like your first photo in grey. I could have a frame build around cabinet and use those L shaped iron supports? Do you pros think that would be sufficient? Also my posts from cabinet company are mostly decorative they tell me!

You can't just chuck a couple legs under a countertop and call it good. If you can't walk across the substrate you build for support, it is inadequate. Countertops are veneer only.

You build a table. The stretcher bars have to attach to the cabinets, and the posts, with intermediate stringers between. The posts have to be secured to the subfloor, so they do not move when jostled or bumped. This is about 6 months behind in the design phase, and your kitchen designer should have done this ages ago, after talking to the stone guys and the GC. Your stone guys shouldn't have even templated without the support being there. There is no way to get this done right without designing it to not crash down and kill someone.

Is the quartz going around the perimeter as well? Are you doing anything with the cabinets? I notice some blue tape on the cabinets next to the stove. I'm afraid you might be putting the cart before the horse.

45" is not large enough for 2 chairs and when you add legs no way. Why did you not just do stells supports with a 15" overhang and some stools on 2 sides if you have the sapce and acouple od extra cabinets under the counter for what appears to be needed for storage

each seat requires 24" of linear counter space.

Make sure any COUNTERSTOOLS you purchase can clear the apron on the overhange.
