Why not mount the tv on the wall?

Not enough context most TVs can be wall mounted at the proper viewing and the sound bar just below it on the cabinet . The center of the screen at eye level when seatd is ideal so look for a cabinet thta is low enough to allow that placement . The cabinet should be approx 25% wider than the TV

68" is size of wall. Im aware of wall mount. I can not because i have all my plumbing pipes behind there.

You use a stud finder then attach the wall mount to the studs no issue with plumbing . IMO that wall is too small for the size of the TV some post pics of the space in a comment here

There are probably THREE very safe studs in a 64 inch wall..... use a stud finder and mount the tv. an IR REPEATER means no need to see cords and there is undoubtedly an electrical receptacle to fish up an outlet for tv on the wall.

Beyond that? We've no sense of your style to advise, and you haven't posted a picture..., not even an inspo of a cabinet that appeals to you,.

too modern for me. ... Im not drilling holes in the wall studs. I do plan on painting up the little wet bar area to a different color.. but not sure what color yet.
