Bathroom mirror and light change

HI, I have a powder room which is 5 by 5. Currently, the mirror is a full-

wall mirror. My question is whether I should go for a smaller mirror just over the sink, with a picture on the other half of the wall, or stick with the large mirror. And should I put lights over, or beside

No, keep the larger mirror. It's more functional than a small one.

You have lights above now? For a powder room, you don't NEED to make a lighting change. If it were a bathroom where you're getting ready every morning, I'd say: Light from above can throw unflattering shadows on your face. Consider adding pendants, which will be at face-height. But put them on a dimmer, as they'll reflect in the mirror /double their light.

The vanity is straight out of the 80s /90s. And at odds with the modern vibe. It looks like the drawers don't close well -- ideally this would be replaced, but you might be able to paint it as a stop-gap measure.

I'd consider replacing the pitcher with a plant or flowers. The pitcher, though lovely, says soft, vintage, country -- and that doesn't play nicely with the bold modern mosaic tile.

I'd take away that little yellow flower /vase. It's too small to make any impact and registers as clutter.

I see you have a piece of artwork -- again, bold, modern -- ready to hang. Good. But I don't see any linens for drying hands -- I'd add a towel ring on the other side of the sink -- or, maybe instead of that plant -- go with a fingertip towel stand in the corner.

I'd add something above the toilet -- that's a big open space -- what comes to mind is something similar to that piece of artwork you already have. A companion piece maybe? A shelf would work, but be sure it's in keeping with the modern vibe.

I like the olive-y shade on the walls.

No offense butt the powder room could use some updating and refreshing in general. I always tell folks if there is one room in your home that you should go a crazy with design it's the powder room. Here are a couple of examples.

I too love PRs they allow for a bit of fun and yours could really use some but we need to see th whole room amd some clue as to what you are willing to change .The size of the mirror is not the issue that tile trim is awful bit the counter ans sink are dated . Is the vanity in good shape ? Is this space used by the family mostly or by guests? I never use a towel bar in bathrooms and for sure not in a tiny PR I see avery traditional pice on the vanity is that your style ? Post pics from further back and also mor einfo . Post all of that in comments here DO NOT start another post or we will lose you Sorry I do not see the art work so can't comment on thta .
