shower head dripping?

We are finally finishing with our remodeling/ rebuild after almost a year! They installed the fixtures in the showers and we noticed that if we switch from the shower head to the handheld or turn off the water, the shower head continues dripping for another 2-3 minutes. Is this expected or is there something faulty in the installation?

Hi, Just an idea. I see your shower is a combo with your tub. When your done showering, switch the handle to the tub spout, that may drain the piping to the shower.

Any input? Is it normal for the shower head to continue dripping for some time after turning it off?

Perfectly normal. It’s just the water in the line draining after you shut off the valve. In my old house it would often happen sporadically at like two am. That was scary the first few times.
