Victorian house exterior pallet help please

I believe the house is folk style. Built in 1991. Live in northern Illinois woodland lake area. Various style homes in our subdivision. Most homes are on an acre.
I’m thinking Earthy colored greens with a pop of color for accents.
Thanks!

    Maybe a darker trim?

Look at the Old House Guy's portfolio. He has a lot of earthy palettes. But here are some other options: I like the idea of a brighter green for your gables. But you can search for "olive exterior photos" in the Houzz search bar and find a lot of ideas.

Decades ago I saw that gradient paint detail for shingled gables on homes in Aspen. It was quite unique. Not sure why all the gables on your home don't have shingles. That would look better IMO.

You could do a dark green home.with black accents.

I would remove the bush in front that blocks front of the house, the symmetry of the main house is needed to be seen to balance the mass of the garage.

I would paint everything a medium/dark Taupe from the roof. Play down the gables.

The only trim would be a dark Charcoal for the windows and dark Charcoal for the horizontal fascias on porch and garage- those for the long horizontal line.

I would add your pop of color with a pale sky blue porch ceiling. Like Haint Blue.

If you want to go Farmhouse, this house would work in all White and the dark Green/Black proposed by Beverly is very nice.

What is the bush in the front of the house? I think overgrown shrubs should be pruned back before they are removed. You can prune it back pretty hard (depending on what it is) and see what you think after a year or two. If you know what it is and if or when it flowers, it would help. Shrubs that flower in the spring should be pruned after flowering. If it flowers in the fall, you want to prune it in early spring.

I had planned on removing the bush.

Does anyone know what style home this is?

It has elements of Victorian Farmhouse and Gothic Revival Farmhouse.

I am having a hard time deciding if a soft neutral pallets or a moody pallet would work in our woodland area in northern Illinois

tracefloyd can you post a pic of the med/dark with dark charcoal trim and windows?

Sorry, no advise on the colors, but wanted to let you know that it’s palette, not pallet (which is something used for shipping).

    Sorry for the misspelling

Here is a very rough sketch for color blocking my concept. Not paint colors, just visualizing. Black trim for windows, doors and gutters/fascias. Wood garage or a caramel color to match front door. Gray peaks the color of the roof to blend.

    Porch posts, rails tbd.

Here it is with green peaks or the body color.

Thanks! I love how you did that.

    Another option:

I love the green and gray/purple combo..I feel the white trim is too bright for our neighborhood. I also plan to change the color on everything painted orange or purple. The porch steps and the porch will be painted a new color too. I am thinking of weathered cedar color for the fish scales. Thank you so much for mocking my house up!

Whatever this is in the red circle should be no larger than whatever is in the yellow circle. If it can’t be trimmed down, it should be gone and not replaced. Like yesterday.

I like what tracefloyd has mocked up (love the deep green) except for the garage doors in contrasting colors; the porch steps look ever so much better when they are NOT a contrasting color. How beautiful your home can be!

So many have commented on the shrubs. I know they need to go.

    Two more options
