I need the room to have the ability to be well lit. I can do lamps but want some more light. Not sure if I should do recessed can lights or some type of recessed LED strips. Or where can I find ideas for this?

Would it look ok if I just install recessed can lights? Will it give me enough light? If I do a flush light fixture then I lose some ceiling height.

7 1/2’ ceiling means four to six 4” cans about 36” from the corners on a dimmer. And lamps. And maybe sconces. Thee light from cans is harsh in a bedroom but great for finding a dropped earring

Flush mounted ceiling light would work. You can find thin flush mount light that will give you enough light.

I think these days smaller can lights are much nicer than 4", no? How many 2 or 3 inch can lights on dimmers would I need? And would it be appropriate for a bedroom?
