Dining Table Recommendations

I’m looking to get a new table and chairs for the dining space off of our kitchen and am struggling with what type to get. The style is fairly contemporary and I was looking for a wood table but don’t know if that would work with the rest of the decor. Also have no idea what color would be best. I’ve also looked at marble top with black base. The best table size seems to be 54” round (spaces 11’ wide x 9’ deep). Current tables 48” and seems too small. What would be the best type of table and chairs to get given the space and surrounding areas (see pics). Thanks much!

I totally agree about the the wooden table. Wood is the best choice for this area with this beautiful forest surroundings. Black base and white marble will "cold" the space. Match a wooden table in the below tone or even darker (not too light) with a central base with dining chairs in terracotta or a bit caramel color. They will match perfect with the color pallet you already have and warm the space even more. You have a very nice blue grey pallet but to balance this with the wooden floor and the outside you need some warm elements in the space. Also, although the current rug in the living room is beautiful, if you think to have a change some time, I would change it for a more warm color and adding some area lighting at a few points through the space.

A Tulip table would be easy to get in and out of the chairs in your dining nook.

Round wood table to connect with trees outdoors. That kind of echoing makes space seem bigger. Match the finish, more or less, with your flooring/chair legs.

I’ve been looking for tables? Is this too dark and/or contemporary for my space? I like the idea of adding warmth and tying in the trees in the backyard.

Hi! No, I don't think it is too contemporary, but is darker than the tone I would choose for your space. A bit lighter would work better. The shape is natural, earthy and attractive, reminds of tree trunks and works well with the shape of your island. Please see some rough ideas to warmth your space when you decide to do some changes. Sorry for covering your dog(!) and also you are missing central lighting in your living room.

Thanks so much! I see what you mean about adding those elements to add warmth all around. I have had a hard time finding tables but I know I’ve seen one like the one ypu showed. Where is it from? And the yellow/orange will still work with the navy accents? I’m so bad at this!

I would say is more of a rust terracotta and mustard caramel color, not pure orange and yellow. Be careful of not ending up with orange and yellow because this will look awkward! You have a light navy blue / grey color which is a very nice color for background! All together adding navy blue stools etc. complements each other in a very good way as long as rust and mustard caramel used in small touches and adding wood of course.
