Hello, I am looking to install new floors in my whole house and looking at Garrison Da Vinci. If you have the Nesso color please share pics. Thank you!
So every time someone asks for this we say the same thing . Buy a box bring it home lay it out in your home with your stuff and lighting . There is no way to see it in someone elses home with their stuff and their lighting unless they have exactly waht you have. If you google the floor there are lots of pics there the same as seeing it in someone elses house
Looking at pictures of someone else's home may give you an idea of the amount of variation in a flooring. It won't tell you anything about imperfections because the flawed materials should have been discarded, not installed.
In my opinion, the best practice is to look at as many pictures from manufacturers/flooring stores as you would like. These pictures will show the product in its best light. Those pictures will help you determine what you like and what you don't like.
The additional information you might gain from looking at homeowner pictures just might not be accurate. You are subject to their photography skills (the manufacturer pictures are all professional pictures, so the skill level will be comparable). As Patricia noted, you can also be distracted by the homeowner's lighting or taste in decor. A photograph of my floors would probably convince you not to purchase the flooring that I chose. Not that it's ugly, but because I can't take a good picture. This is why some (including me) don't recommend looking at other homeowners' pictures. You're not getting any better information than you already had.
After you know what you like, you will be able to narrow your choices down to just a few. When you get it down to two or three choices, that is the time to buy one box of each. If you get these from a real flooring store, there is a good likelihood that they'll agree to take back the box of whatever you didn't like (it's a small concession in comparison to the full order).
So I find myself agreeing with Patricia. She might not have explained the thought process behind her recommendation in as much detail as some would like, but she's right.
And please note that I did not recommend buying "several" boxes of flooring, just the final two or three contenders.
