Can you do a photo with this cabinet and some of the rest of the space it is in so we can see how it relates?

The wall the cabinet is on is next to the door that leads to the garage from the family room. To the left is the kitchen and to the right is the family room. It is open concept.

You can keep the cabinet it's how you style it that makes the difference.

I would decide what is the feature., the cabinet or the framed art.

they fight each other, at least keep the top cleared off if you are keeping them together.

try the cabinet under the red framed art on the interior of the room.

Have you ever tried facing the sofa at the TV? with the chairs where the sofa is now?

@Lyn Nielson I want the artwork to be the focus. Layout was dictated by recliner's position to the TV and my desire to keep everything floating with adequate walkways. But, thank you for the suggestion.

@cubby14 I do like the longer table and simple lines.

The cabinet appears to not fit in the space. Even the concept of placing something in a lighted closed cabinet in the room seems too traditional for everything else you have selected.

Agree that something wider would balance the size of the artwork better. Simpler too.

It does not make sense for your space. The art is great though. I’d hang the art slightly lower and don’t think you need anything under it. Give it some room to breathe. There is enough visual onfo here already.
