Katrina deer needs ?

Want to keep the Katrina wood near as the focal point above the fireplace but the mantle needs a little something to pull it together. (Also want to hide the outlet.)
Recently purchased a brass rectangular tray but uncertain what to do with it. With the driftwood of the deer it feels like something natural but what?

A small planter with ferny type plant in it Moss balls of different sizes in tray, A very small light at left side of mantel - look for a stained glass or maybe a salt rock type light, All very organic & natual items below the lovely deer.

I would paint the wood slats deep navy, put on a brass outlet cover, candlesticks, and dried eucalyptus. I could go into the reasons and goals, but that's what strikes me immediately. Love your deer head. This might be off the wall, but what about two ball lights at either end of the mantle. One would cover up the plug.

Wow, I love that deer head sculpture! But I have to ask, what is Katrina wood? Is that a typo? Just googled it to see if there is some sculpture movement identifying as Katrina wood…….and nada.

A wood artist retrieved live oak wood after Katrina and made the wood go forward in beautiful pieces such as thing.

Va. I don’t have a IG account. Painting the back blue just won’t work in this small home. I really want to keep things white. To that end would brass still work?
