I am helping my mother with her kitchen renovation. She has installed new upper and lower cabinets in kitchen that is approx. 150 SF. The cabinets are a a medium shade of brown oak. The LVP floor she selected has arrived and the wood is essentially the same color as the lower cabinet color. Is this bad? Will it make the kitchen appear smaller once it is installed? She is thinking about returning the flooring as it is not installed. Before she does this I'd like to get some opinions on the "rule of thumb" for wood floor and lower cabinet combos, and thoughts on how this may look. A few photos are included.
