I have a 1920s cottage/bungalow and am looking to redecorate the LR/DR open floorplan.

DR: new rug and chandelier

LR: new rug and all furniture (sofa, two upholstered chairs plus tables)

Can you help me find 8x10 rugs that complement each other and fit the space and age of the home?

I like Rejuvenation’s Price rug in cream. Someone said it can be hard to get two printed rugs to coordinate which may be true. but I don’t want the second rug to be too modern.

I was considering this rug to lighten the DR area but someone said it could be good in the LR, since there are different colors and i could change toss pillows to change the look of the room (which i want to do). The colors aren’t photographing well but here are a few other shots.

FWIW i’m considering this DR chandelier from Metro Lighting in Berkeley CA.

In the LR I’m thinking a neutral sofa with slimmer arms and two chairs in a color, probably rounded swivel chairs. (Swivel seems fun or…are legs better?)

This is the PB petite Remmy. The swatch color looks much better.
