Lanterns on columns by screened door?

We are working on refinishing our 1932 English tutor. I am trying to decide if it would look awkward to have lanterns on the columns. We do have lanterns underneath the screened in porch by the front door I’m thinking of just going with a lantern on a pole.

Yes add some lanterns. Make sure they are not undersized.

Red was probably not the best choice as an exterior accent for TUDOR HOUSE.

Select lanterns like these below in bronze to blend in with the columns

Lantern style lights on either side of the front door AND on a pole at the beginning of your walkway are best. People need to know they’ve arrived at the correct house from the street. Lights at the house guide them to your front door.
Anything in dark iron (black or bronze) will complement your lovely Tudor.

Thank you, everyone for the feedback. And absolutely agree on paint color we did not paint the house yet. The foundation was just repaired and now we are going to remove all of the exterior brick because most of it is damaged and re-brick the entire home.. following that the new windows will be here in 12 weeks in the finishing carpenter is going to work on the wood trim and molding before we get to painting

Still have to work on yard. Well, I know this is not your standard English tutor color combination. I wanted something a little different and I love green.. and decided doing a large lantern over the top of the door and have another lantern on a pole at the end of the walk. Would’ve loved to have done gas however it just was not in the budget.

Take another picture when the front is not shaded - I think it looks great but would love to see it without the shadow.🙂

Right now, the sun is right on it and it’s not exactly This image is not true to color… I will try to take another picture when I don’t have two extremes in lighting.

This was just now again. It’s really hard to photograph and it seems like the color changes based on the lighting.
