how much traffic comes thru the door w laundry and garage through there ? this might be a nicer kitchen if you had an elongated U shape on the non window wall. with a peninsula half the current size coming off the right wall...one or 2 stools? so you come thru the garage and pass by the work zone instead of criss crossing between sink and stove all the time. you could put a shallow coffee bar under the current kitchen window. always the foot traffic and primary work zone should be considered . you had that door open previously and it looks like foot traffic so I think of an improvement, if bothering w any expenditure and time and effort. but if minimal cooking occurrs and you just want looks as you implied I dont know. Maybe focus on your dining table extraordinaire when you get the round one and a chandelier etc....would you be just as happy with that sort of a change / investment ?

here are kitchens with similar open connections w dining zones...looks like traffic does not interfere w work zones .and dining venues look fun or reflect the occupants style ....even small basic kitchens not a downgrade of space. make a list of what you really want.

We still need a floor plan with dimensions. Otherwise we are just guessing

It’s basically a square - 12’ across and 13’ deep to the peninsula. window over sink and door that goes to laundry, backyard.

As requested in your other thread, please post a fully-measured layout of the spaces to be modified and a sketch of the entire floor the Kitchen is on. More info on that thread (https://www.houzz.com/discussions/6487869/kitchen-layout-question).

It might be better to just post it on the original thread so everyone can see questions/answers.

People here can put valuable effort towards something you'll get to use and enjoy for years to come. Please do some work here yourself. Get graph paper and let each square equal six inches. Measure with a tape measure the dimensions of your space. Include the whole floor. Include windows and doors. Tell us the climate area and which direction is East and West. Do you have a budget? Can you do any of the work? Some things like choosing counter slabs and determining the layout of the stone grain pattern needs to be hands on. We can help. You can't leave that to the fabricator. You have to verify your choice and confirm with him. You have to examine and confirm he did the correct work before it leaves his shop and before you allow it to be installed. Same with the cabinets.

If you put in actual effort your space can be extraordinary.
