stucco/roof issues

Is this a stucco issue or a roof issue? Why is the metal flashing exposed and what is the fix? Any advice appreciated.

The metal flashing is exposed to protect the stucco. It looks to be a proper installation to me based upon the information provided.

The side flashing prevents water from wicking up the stucco. I would prefer to see more of it.

The bent flashing on the front may act as a kick-out flashing of sorts. May or may not be adequate.

I agree with worthy, the sidewall flashing typically has more exposed than that. So what you have may or may nopt be adequate. Tough to tell from here or with no knowledge of how it was installed.

+1 there should be more metal flashing exposed, 2"-4". Homeowners mistakenly think the wall finish/trim should touch the shingles and hide flashing.

The flashing is supposed to be visible. That's not the issue.
