60" floating double sink vanity - under vanity LED lights?

Dear all, thanks again for your help in advance!

As you know we are doing a complete remodeling for our 1470 sqft Art Deco style of single family home (3BR 2BA) in San Francisco. We are thinking of having a 60" floating double sink vanity in one of the bathrooms. We also want to install a "under vanity light" The contractor reserved a electrical outlet box like the photo below:

I'm thinking that the location of that electrical outlet box might be too low. But we have not decided which floating double sink vanity we want to buy. Couple of questions:

1. Where would you advise the contractor/electrician to place the blue outlet box? I think he didn't want to place it too close to the "plumbing" for good reasons, but with that current location, I'm also concerned that the wires might be visible which might be a bit ugly. Any thoughts? I suppose that once we decide which floating double sink vanity we want to buy, the electrician can move the location of that electrical outlet to hide it inside of the vanity, right? Any youtube videos that show you how typically this is done (for under vanity light installation)?

2. It seems that there are floating double sink vanity that comes with the under cabinet LED lights already, and there's also "after-market" type of installation. Our goal is that it has to be super durable and super low maintenance. Any advice about how we should go with such floating vanity under vanity LED light installation (what LED light should we choose for easy maintenance, etc.)? Also, normall do people place the under vanity LED light on the same dimmer switch with the bathroom recessed light, or vanity light (if there's behind the mirror LED light strip)? Thoughts?

3. Any general tips or recommendations (or things to pay special attention to), for such configuration (ceiling recessed light + behind mirror LED light / not integrated with mirror + under vanity LED light)?

We are thinking of having a 60" floating double sink vanity in one of the bathrooms.

No to duplicate sinks in a 5' vanity. Yes, two sinks will fit, but that'll leave you with little-to-no drawer space AT the sink. Think about how many things you need by your sink -- without drawers, those things will clutter your countertop, which is messy to look at and more work when it's time to clean.

In a 5' vanity, you can have one nice sink, centered, a good faucet (best is wall-mounted for ease of cleaning) and a good bank of drawers for each spouse. Or two sinks pushed too close together and a cluttered countertop.

Two more small things to consider: I see a hand towel on the left, but what does the right-side sink use? Where's your trash can?

Tacky nouveau riche generic pop ugh does not suit a grand Art Deco house. Restore it with some original detailing.

What Theresa said. One sink in a 60" vanity. All the more so because the vanity is flanked by at least one elbow banging wall.

Some people like it. Personally, I've felt no need to add lighting under my floating vanities in the 11 bathrooms I've remodeled/built in the last 15 years.

If you don't have much storage I would look at installing recessed medicine cabinets, which is easy to do when your walls are open.

- Yes.

i'd have the electrical box installed so that it's finished out inside the cabinet / vanity and that all you mount under the vanity is the unobtrusive LED strip light with wires fed through the bottom of the vanity. Big NO to the low outlet.

Attach it to that right most stud if your vanity goes all the way over there.

@Verde Arroyo Designs How would you go to design this bathroom then? I think we will stick with 60" (5') double sink design (because plumbing is done and we can't change it anymore - already changed once and contractor was not happy), but it doesn't have to be floating vanity (plumbing shouldn't have to change). The bathroom size is 133" x 60" (bathtub is 60" x 30"). Here is our current layout/design:

I think a floating vanity makes a large piece of furniture appear less imposing.

The second photo in the article, "20 Stunning Art Deco Style Bathroom Design Ideas" shows a bathroom with a wall-hung vanity.

Ceiling recessed lights + LED lights behind the mirror are a great option!

@Dexter The problem is that we are concerned that when the LED lights behind the mirror failed, it would be difficult to repair or we may need to replace the entire mirror+LED. Thoughts? Thanks!
