Bathroom Needs Some Finishing Touches

last year

Bathroom tile, tub, toilet and vanity recently replaced. It all looked good until it was all installed then it became boring.

Tub, toilet, sink & countertop are white, chrome fixtures

Vanity is navy blue with chrome handles

Tile is beige & white with periwinkle diamond dot. Matched BM Beacon Gray

Neutral paint was boring/flat. Trying the Beacon Gray but not seeing much improvement.

Any Ideas??? Thanks

Diamond is a periwinkle blue. Perfect match to BM Beaon Gray.

I would try a very soft sage green. Framed art above the toilet will look nice.

Some nice details could help - I’d do a nice shower rod cut to size from Signature Hardware, hung high and then add a customer shower curtain from Etsy for proper length and fullness, a roman shade in fabulous fabric for the window, soap in containers fron Polished Jar etc…

If the bathrooms in my previous house had looked "boring" like this, I wouldn't have needed to remodel 5 bathrooms! You have a nice neutral background. Lots you can do to liven it up with towels, shower curtain, wall paint color and pattern/color on a mock roman shade to hide the raised blinds.

Not loving the "icy" wall paint color.

This roman shade has similar pattern and color as your floor tile.

Outside mounted shades can be raised close to the ceiling to give the window some height and drama. I would replace the venetian blinds.

Wallpaper. It’s not a large bathroom so something dramatic would be cool

This is our bathroom. Matchstick blinds with a matching valance included.

We ordered undermount blinds wider than the window and mounted them to the ceiling (8').

I'd consider a cabinet over the toilet for more storage

I'd install a full height drape on the bathrub area.

Do you have space for towel hooks behind the door? I would not put towels over the toilet. Chrome shower rod, big artwork over the toilet, fluffy hotelesque shower curtain. Navy towels.

The walls in the periwinkle would make the floor tile make sense right now it does not. I have atrain type towel storage over a toilet and really anyone peeing that high up needs to be slapped . Then a dsrker shade of the wall color for towels mixed with pure white A nice waffle shower curtain in white

HAHA!!! Yes I'm here. I've been shopping. Have a blind guy coming tomorrow to measure for a new window treatment similar to ones suggested above. On same wall as the tub is a full-size linen closet so no need for more storage. Ordered new shower curtain rod and hooks. Still looking for shower curtain in longer length. Thought I had found periwinkle towels but they turned out to be purple, so still looking.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.

I think this space is a lovely blank canvas to add your personal touches to. Colour, plants, towels, etc
