My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Im not convinced this is elbo bush. The green stems and the large leaves underneath the branches don't look like the photos of it. If you could catch it in bloom that might help, that is if it's mature enough to bloom. A shot clearly showing the veining of the leaves could help too. The other 4 or 5 Forestiera species in Texas don't match either, and nothing in Oliaceae matches. Could it possibly be a fast growing annual? Any clear, close shots of leaf and stem pubescence could be helpful. Is the stem broke? If so, can you see if it's hollow, or what color the pith is?Are the leaves aromatic? Can you try to check out the root system?
