In reading other comments, you could match wall paint to the off white trim paint and just use color on the bedding and art work.

Farrow and Ball Teresa's Green is a nice blue. They classify it as an aqua, but toned down with some green.

Do you have any decor/textiles planned for the space?

I'm asking because aligning blues and grays can be tricky - there's quite a spectral range for each. E.g. a few of my favorite coastal vibe blues.

Select bedding, window treatment first then choose wall color since paints have more choices and can be color coordinated easier.

@la_la Girl is right, for such a small room with limited natural light, all one color will be a fresh canvas for a beach retreat. The shiplap is dating, and heavy for a small space.

The deep rick floor contrast to a white with a hint of undertone will be timeless.

My choice would be Behr Day Spa. a fresh white with a hint of blue/gray, looks more blue in low light. Sample your colors in all light, not just bright daylight.

this BR will be son’s room- he is 19. Will be guest space when he leaves…simple decor - his bed with linen plain comforter. I have some classic nautical decor, like an antique oar and some other classic nautical things. Was thinking of adding a semi flush mount nautical ceiling light fixture….subtle hints of the sea in the decor.

I strat every bedroom with the bedding it drives all things like style, wall color accent color so what is the bedding? IMO ship lap ship sailed long ago and in a coastal style never

No shiplap, even if it authentic. Let the floors be the star.

I think I have photos of my 1840 half cape. I was proud to have it included in a magazine. I do remember the trim color I used, B.M. Acadia White. For our bedroom I chose Palladian Blue. I had a lovely older chaise that was upholstered in a color just like B.M. Wisteria.

Down stairs in the kitchen, family room and dining room, the paint was Shagreen, That was when Martha Stewart had a line with S. W. That color is no where to be found because I wanted to use it in a client's dining room

Colors that I have used in antique homes, I just go straight to the Historic colors, Stratton Blue, etc. I find them perfect for antique homes.

Old photos, but I want you to see the floors and beams. Oh, and the back door porch. My husband painted the floor for me in awning style and the ceiling was a vinyl beadboard. Could never have the real deal outside in Cape Cod weather. Disaster!

Six stone fireplaces...and we just used the gas logs in the living room. I could only deal with so much and pulling in wood for the other fireplaces just didn't happen.

Love your house. It's got the Greek Revival farmhouse look and with all the stone, guessing CT.

Wanted to share this Greek Revival with you. It is on King's Highway in Yarmouthport, MA and it has an addition as does your home.

It loves Acadia White, too.

A few paint ideas... it's difficult to suggest anything in particular without seeing what will be going into the room for furniture and bedding.

Authentic ship lap hasn't left the dock because the wooden boat wouldn't last without it. The real deal is a wonderful addition to an older home, inside and out. Just don't call plain panels ship lap, especially if a faux pax is made by installing vertically.

OT, but just wanted to thank elcieg for posting the picture of the house painted BM Somerville Red. So beautiful! We're buying a house, 1997 Federal colonial, that needs new paint, new roof. Somerville Red/Acadia White would be stunning.
