My next backsplash!

So many Lego bricks in the house, so few ways to display them. I think I’d have to make the glass or plexi easily removeable to update, seasonalize, etc, the bricks. Or maybe use the flat pieces to make a mosaic.

I wonder what's behind that backsplash. I'm thinking it might be a hallway or other space where the back side of that display opens (like a pass through, but with door panels.) Then the plexiglass could remain in place.

I sometimes miss those days, but Legos remind me of the many times I stepped on one!

Funny and creative way to display Lego!

My fingertips are still sore from taking apart a Lego Star Wars Death Star last week!

4016 pieces and a discontinued set! Youngest DS is now out of college, working and in his own apartment, so I figured it was time to make that bedroom more guest friendly. We have too much Lego. The kids will take it at some point when they have room to store it ...

They weren't into cute houses or architecture, so most of ours are Star Wars, cars, planes, spaceships, etc.

Chispa, most everything has been taken apart but the Lego Architecture remains. Our kids used to do a Lego class, and the teacher was a Lego Master and friends with Adam, and when the kids helped with afterschool classes, they’d get an Architecture set as compensation. However, tiny Star Wars figures from other toys do prowl on Robie house, the White house, and others.

You know, a few hundred dollars and your local TAP Plastic will make you a long shallow acrylic fish tank to sit under the upper cabs. Some removable bottom panels in the cabs for access. Undercab lights can double as aquarium lights. Fish can be for lookin’ or for eatin’ as you wish. Or really fresh shrimp cocktail . . .

I like the creativity, but holy Windex Batman, that’s a lot of glass to keep streak free.

John Liu, did you go to the same estate sale I did a few weeks ago? There was, in fact, a good-sized fish tank built in on the counter between the kitchen and sitting area.

I've seen the large fish tanks placed between rooms ... maybe this was a fish tank before and the current owners turned it into a Lego display tank.

Rho, yes I took it apart! Not keeping it as decor for the next 4 or 10 years until kid has a large enough apartment or house to display his things! All bagged and labeled ... I'll even pay for shipping when they are ready to take all their Lego!
