replace, repair or recover

last year

We had a flood in basement so foundation people jack hammered around perimeter to install a drain and destroyed the ceramic tile near baseboards. Contractor recommended LVP because new tile and grout could never be matched. I didn’t expect the added expense of $1,500 (low end) to recover the entire basement floor. We have a box of tiles from before but not enough for entire job. I’ll send photos if needed. What wd you do???

If you don’t have enough to do the whole thing I would replace it all.

What I would do is spend a few hours (days?) designing a tile border pattern.

I agree, put in a border type tile, and it will all looked like its what you planned originally.

The idea of repairing the tile was nixed by my husband. So we picked out a floating floor PVL, no LVP.

Now I have to pick out a paint color. My two choices I showed my husband was Edgecomb Grey and Navajo White since the only thing he ask d for was waist being light. I think the Navajo white with a white paint on the molding is not enough contrast. Does anybody wanna comment on that?
