Why a runner ? IMO they are tripping hazards and one more thing to clean for no purpose . If any thing maybe an anti fatigue mat but no need where I see the mat now. I think you have an interesting home it is not screaming traditional to me but a nice mix since the bar stoools for sure not that style . I think that little table and mirror in the kitchen is an odd choice and the drpes really do not do much for the LR a bit too country for the rest of the style

You have lots of red around the house, I'd go for a vintage washable runner.

Which is why the "runner" word is often fraught with search. Too much length on many. But I often use 3x 5 if kitchen aisles allow.

Regarding need for runner. Depends on the number of people using the kitchen. With just 2 of us, I find nor rug on hardwood floors works - any spills or drips wipe up easily. Even my daughter with 3 kids got tired of trying to keep rug and floor wiped up so has gone “no rug”.
