Kitchen Runner help

I need to get 2 runners for the kitchen. The kitchen and dining room is one big space (no walls). This is the dining room rug.

I want to compliment this rug but I am having a really hard time finding anything local that would be easy to return if it clashed. They do make a matching runner but that seems like a cop-out and each runner is over $250.00.


Any ideas or suggestion??

Here is a shot from the kitchen into the dining room. The rug that is there now is being moved to the living room.
