Stucco Window Band

Hi! I'd like to add a matching pair of shutters to this window that has a raised stucco frame. I thought about notching out the back of the shutters? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I know it's a new house, so here are some ideas for the future.

I changed the gable fascia color to match the other dark trim. Since you have dark gutters -- fascia and gutters should match. A light color there attracts the eye to the gable.

Made the beam over the porch taller, trying to visually make the porch more in scale, and colored the column to match the dark trim.

No you put spacers / cleats behind the shutter. Remember that originally shutters actually shut, so if the were actually mounted to operate there would be a gap behind them

Understood, thanks! The other two pairs of shutters are flat to the wall, do you think it will look okay if only one set is raised up?

Hi Jennifer, love the color scheme. I am doing my home in similiar (w shutters as well) . Would you be willing to PLEASE ask builder the name and color of both brick and stucco . I would GREATLY appreicate it.
