I am not an expert since I have very limited experience with an electric pressure cooker. The one I borrowed worked great the first batch and then nothing on the second batch. It just kept steaming - never getting to the cooking stage.

Took the directions out and started from the very begining with the set up process. When I looked to see if I could see through the Regulator, I realized that evidently when I removed the Regulator the first time I must have pulled it off at such an angle that I broke off the small white plug part. It was an Electric Presto brand and when I called their 800 number, they were very helpful and I ordered a replacement part. Well worth it!

So if the cooker turns on, look into that. If the unit does not even turn on when plugged in, I am not sure what that might be, however a call to their service center might give you an answer.

They quite often have a fuse that blew. I replaced mine and then it worked.

Give the brand and the model number. There is little I can fix and always repaired anything worth repairing but it became harder to find parts because most of what they make are disposable and parts aren't sold.

With the data I asked I can check for a possibility there is a at least a part diagram available and maybe a wiring diagram. (long shot). With this I can tell if it has a fuse, potential failures and if it's even worth having fixed. What did it cost?

Have you put only water in it and try to get to pressure? I've had a few recipes that say they are for PC but do not contain enough water and I have to add more to get mine to pressurize.

Did you check the breaker for the outlet it's plugged into?
