The kitchen really needs to be gutted imo. So I’d leave it exactly as is until you can really do an overhaul

For the living room I would paint the walls and ceiling one color.

Are you open to doing new windows throughout?

Show us some more of this lovely home! This is a very big project but sure is a lot a fun. So much potential!!🤍🤍

*I* would clean the kitchen woodwork (and I don't even LIKE wood) and paint the walls either pink or the same blue as the counters but 25 or 5% so they are pale.

I wouldn't do anything for at least 6 months, to see what you think is really dysfunctional and so change should be prioritized, and what you thought you didn't like but find doesn't really bother you anymore. For instance, from the photos I hate the blue countertop, but I might find that I don't mind it so much once I'm actually there, and I'd rather budget to change something else first.

Is this house a MCM that hasn’t been ruined too much? I know the kitchen needs work just based on what I think is the cooktop on left side with the different countertop than right side. On left side - is that a window to outside the length of the countertop? This has to be a really interesting house. The floorplan doesn’t help me visualize bc I can’t read the dimensions & notes on plan.

The kitchen seems tight in the photo. Think it would work much better as a galley kitchen although that might not be possible as there is an exterior wall at the end.

It's a fantastic one-person kitchen. If it would be possible to shove the oven wall over about three feet, it would widen the kitchen enough for two people, as well enabling the dishwasher to move next to the sink. Preserving the cabinets would be high on my list. Where's the cooktop?

The floor plan's gray and white colors are unreadable. If you can change them to black and white, that'd be great.
