Why not put the scallops on the back wall and subway on the sides, do a penny tile on the floor in blue (like water)

Thank you! This is not a bathroom picture, but a picture of the kitchen wall and floor. The image is something like this, but is it good? The penny tiles are so cute, but for someone like me who hates to be lazy, they are too small and I think cleaning them would be a pain.

Just to be clear, unless the scallop tile specifically says it can be used on the floor and walls, it can only be used on walls.

Suggest the scalloped tiles on the walls instead and consider just doing one wall with your other (simple) choice on the other walls and floor.

The bathroom floor, vanity and counter come into play, so keep them in mind.

Never use real hardwood flooring in a bathroom. Too much moisture is bad for wood.

Thank you everybody! Sorry for my bad English. I'm renovating my entire bathroom.

I was thinking of wood-like tiles (similar color of my master bedroom), subway tiles (for the shower room walls), and scalloped (for the shower room floor). I didn't know that scalloped tiles couldn't be used for shower floors, so I learned something new. Thank you. I'll look into it, but if I can't find any cute scalloped tiles for the floor, I'll go with arabesque tiles.

I'm thinking of using only two types of tiles in the walk-in shower room because it would look too cluttered. The shower room walls are 150 sqft, the floor is 55 sqft, and the other floors require 140 sqft of tiles, so I wanted to make the shower room floor, which has the smallest area, the focal point and use tiles with a design like scallops or arabesques.

Choosing tiles is difficult!

WHAT is the exact flooring in the bedroom?

Do not but two "wood look" anything together.

Wood-look anything juxtaposed with real wood is not a good look; it just makes the fake wood look even faker. Consider choosing tile for your bathroom floor that’s not “wood-look”.

It's not "strange"! It is NO NO of magnitude. I mean really, really no....please.

Look..... tile exists to be sold. It's easier to install than remove.

Don't spend money on a fad, which fish scale IS.

Put a penny tile on the bath floor,, take it right into the shower floor ! A 3 x 12 subway on shower walls and you will have that bath and love it for 15 years.

Put art on the walls. do a great color on the vanity....put up super lighting.

And no to the "wood look" which only makes sense in a tropical whole home environment and has sort of outlived its time....

Thank you for your reply. I'm thinking of skipping the wood-look tiles and going for larger (12x24) tiles in white, grey or charcoal. As I wrote before, I don't want to use penny tiles in the shower room..... Fish scale patterns is fad. I thought they were a traditional design that has been around for a long time.

This is my guest shower with scalloped tiles and subway and a different design for the floor.

I have a few questions. If you don't mind, could you answer them? Is the shower room scalloped on three sides? What is the name of the tiles on the floor in the shower room?

@Satomy Hi Yes the scalloped tiles are on three sides. The orange tile is sorbet color from fireclay tile.

I think we put the floor together with triangle sorbet tiles…listed under specialty on their web site.

I think the fireclay prices have gone up. I love their tile and their company but you could copy the design with other tiles.

I like abathroom tile to be simple ,neutral and easy to clean. I use 12 x24 porcelain tile on both bathroom floor and shower walls the same tile only smaller on the shower floor . Matching grout for all. This allows you to chosee a nice vanity with maybe a nice counter to be the standout and down the road choose a new wall color and accessories for a different look.

Yes, I also want something that is easy to clean. That's why I don't really want to use penny tiles. I have a meeting with a contractor today. After that, I'll go to the tile shop again.
