we are doing kitchen remodel and can't decide on appliances. We have replacing all but the refrigerator . We were considering buying Jenn air but read some terrible reviews .

Considering installing drawer microwave by sharp. I am doing 36'' range top , hood , single wall oven , drawer microwave and dish washer

Please share your experience and advice on the same.

Thermador 36” gas rangetop, Miele double wall ovens (one is a combi-steam), Bosch dishwasher, 42” Vent A Hood …all now over 9 years old. Not one repair. Highly recommend.

My GE microwave sits on a shelf. Not built-in. Easy to replace, should the need arise. Like the other appliances, it’s 9yo. Not one repair. I don’t like the bending needed to retrieve food from a drawer mw, or to clean it.

Agree with the others. Not a good idea to buy a suite of appliances from one manufacturer. None of them excel in all categories.

Buy the best-you-can-afford brand for each application, not a suite of appliances. I have that Sharp microwave and love it. Recommend Bosch for the dishwasher.

The Miele G5050 is a recommended dishwasher model. No extra bells to be future problems and so the price is more reasonable. At least for now on existing stock.

A Miele or Bosch induction cooktop is a popular choice. More responsive and easier to keep clean.

Sorry IMO still Bosch for a DW mine is 18 yrs old, I run a catering biz from my home sometimes 6-8 loads a day, it has a quick wash cycle used 80 % of the time takes 25 minutes, one service call a mouse ate a wire. I love my Bertazzoni 6 burner range all gas and I aslo have double electric wall ovens I have 6K worth of pots and pans bougt in Italy not induction type so for me gas always. FYI I have 3 clients that went back to gas after insisting on induction.. Every appliance is bought for how YOU use them and there is no maker that makes all well. I do not like built in MWs when they die the new models rearely fit I have never used a drawer DW but I guess if you do only small loads makes sense I guess , I prefer counter depth fridges and they lose maybe 10% storage that get with the giant ones sticking out in the space . All the rest of the kitchen needs to be designed for function first every time.

Is it too much bending to use and clean drawer microwave ? I use microwave a lot for reheating and defrosting food

No bending at all! That's the beauty of it - it's right below the countertop, so you stand and reach down into it (from above) as opposed to squatting/kneeling to put something into or pull something out of it. And the controls flip down so you're just looking down at them instead of (again) squatting/kneeling to cook whatever's in there. Great for aging-in-place, as well.

Go to a store that sells them and play with it.
