Use glue to mix polyblend sanded grout vs epoxy grout?

Dear all, thanks again for your help!

I talked to a contractor friend of mine. He said that we can mix glue with polyblend sanded grout (for our kitchen and bathroom large format 9x48 wood-look floor tiles), for better waterproofing, more durable, and better stain-resistant. Is that true? If so, what kind of glue should I use?

Also, how would such cement based grout (mix with glue) compare to epoxy grout, such as MAPEI KERAPOXY CQ Premium Epoxy Grout? For kitchen and bathroom, for easy maintenance and better waterproofing, would going for Epoxy grout a better choice? It seems that some people says that Epoxy grout may look a bit like plastic and it has limited color choices. What are your experiences about Epoxy grout? Thanks again!
