I would not hang 6 individual pendants or even have 6 individual flush mount fixtures along the bottom of the ridge beam. Instead, a single connected line of linear uplight fixtures would be better and reflect off the ceiling adding to the ambient light of the recessed fixtures.

In fact, I would even remove the collar ties, as they are just very visually noisy. To perform the same function structurally, in lieu of these you can install a metal strap on the outside of the roof over the ridge.
