Need advice on this kitchen layout

We just bought a home and are renovating the kitchen with custom cabinets. As you can see in the picture, the space is very limited. Husband got a really good deal on some used wolf appliances that we normally wouldn’t buy retail. The fridge and freezer are 30” column each which takes up a lot of space in this kitchen obviously. Should I just try selling the fridge & freezer and going with a smaller size to create more counter/cabinet space? or do i just keep it (as shown in the picture). Does the layout not look functional? We are adding cabinets under the island as well. The space between the range and fridge is only eight inches on the right side.

No what you have shown does not work. Sell the fridge, freezer, and wo. Based on the little information here you need a range on the left long wall and a fridge and maybe some pantry storage where you have the columns.

Show us a dimensioned floorplan of the existing and proposed kitchen and surrounding rooms for the best suggestions.

It is odd that the former owners purchased sucharge fridge and freezer for such a small kitchen. What am I missing?

what are the spaces around these walls......can the wall be extended at the ends of each side of the L shape without interfering with walkways etc. even if you swap the appliances the walls arent very long to work with.....so youve got the appliances....what adjustments seem feasible. What is the kitchen like now? You say custom cabinets so it seems wise to make the space itself work for you.

This is what I got from my contractor. The walls cannot be extended. I can only work with the space I have.

Lose the double ovens, rotate the island so it's parallel to the cabinets, and put the range on one of the longer walls, not the angled one. I'd probably put the fridge (that one is too big for the space) where the double ovens are now. The wall will prevent most fridges from fully opening without a few inches of space on the hinge side.
