outside corner in a bathroom

We have an outside corner in the bathroom. One wall will be tiled and the other one wallpapered. Do you have any ideas how to finish the corner so that it looks good but without using a baguette (the metal strip).

What type of wall paper?

What is the tile.....and you are referring to a Schluter edge? often the most appropriate edge for many tiles?

I would NOT paper any wall that must butt to tile that will get moist, or wet. .......with ANY wallpaper.

It matters not the skill set of the paper installer. It's just too close to moisture in a bath with daily use. Perhaps in an infrequent guest bath,,,,but even then I'd not advise it. Paint, carry the tile around that corner, or PAINT........or take your chances, and plan to replace - meaning buy enough.

The tile should extend well beyond the wet area and end with either a pencil, bullnose, or an unobtrusive color matched metal jolly. Your design doesn't mesh with the reality of bathroom usage.

I agree with Jan no wallpaper next to a tiled wall without some sort of real barrier . Schluter edge is by far the least visible and clean looking BTW .

Can you show us a drawing of the space so we can see where the wet area actually is? I presume it extends to this corner as their is water proofing on this wall. I concur that a metal strip of any kind would not look good here.

The wall you wish to paper is so slender, it looks like a doorway. Are you wrapping wallpaper from the closet/bedroom area into the dooway or is it wallpaper from the rest of the bathroom? I'd look for a good paint color to transition wallpaper from else to the tile in this area.

without seeing the whole space, I would paint that narrow strip the same color as the tile OR the same color as the background of the wallpaper.

Thanks. We finished the tiled wall with schleuter strip/baguette, the wall i will wallpaper is transitional space leading into the bathroom. Using baguette was the only clean way to give it a clean look.
