I read some about them, but I don't have Netflix either. Nice to see them putting efforts into something so worthwhile.

I just watched "The Quilters." WOW!! It was very touching and the men in the prison are creative and care about making a quality product. Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy!! All of the quilts they make are donated to children in the foster care system in Missouri. It brought tears to my eyes!

I watched it, and their creations were amazing. I hope they were making smaller quilts for foster children because the quilts shown were quite large. I realize they donated quilts to organizations as well. They sure had a lot of fabric on hand!

I noticed that on the lists they were given of children they were to make quilts for, the sizes were indicated as twin, queen, etc. I assumed they were making quilts for their beds. Maybe that's why they were all large.

I was able to watch "the Quilters" while visiting my daughter in CA! What a great program for the men who quilt and the children who receive. I thought there was a lot of fabric, all donated, on hand. Also the quilts were very large. Now I wish this show will inspire other prisons to copy the program.
