In several rows of Nantes, all orange, I pulled up one carrot today that was pure white. Looked like a carrot otherwise. No, I don't grow any parsnips. Is this a rogue seed that ended up in the package? I understand that Nantes are sometimes hybrid, so maybe this particular plant reverted to an earlier variety? Is this common in Nantes?
