Moving in! Almost done

last year

It's been a journey, but we're FINALLY moving in. More pics to come when I get set up and some art on the walls, but here's a start. Front yard / countyard isn't done - managing temporary until we start the pool later this summer - but when I mow the weeds it won't be too bad. ;-)

And here's a question - is it a bad omen when your first visitor is a black vulture that seriously cased the joint - walked fully around the house and then remained there even after we pulled out with the moving truck??? and he wasn't the least bit concerned about us at all... Between this, a dream I had that an asteroid was coming and would wipe us all out, and a Friday trip to the ER Vet for the ancient PERFECT dog (pneumonia - think we caught it early enough, but still an added stressor) - I hope this is ALL!

OMG! Well, you just have to laugh about your new vulture friend. Bur I agree - it creeps me out a bit when I see several vultures circling above.

Hope the unpacking and getting organized goes well. Hope the pup is doing better.

I would be looking up ways to deter vultures on my property ... wouldn't want their poop on my patio or around the house.

We have them in my area of FL, but they don't seem to want to hang out near homes. You only see them circling in the sky or eating roadkill on the street.

Your avian gardener reminds me of the various hawks in our area, keeping down the random hare, rat and small bird populations.

An occasional visitor to our demolished home.

More peeks into the finished project would be great.

One can only take so many Homer Simpson plan homes. Or endless iterations of the English countryside.
