RHeya re fake what is the reason for the gloss white a poder room does not have ashower so maybe post a pic of the space . I do not like niches done in accent tile the shampoo bottles are not decor items so no need to accent them. I would need to understand a glossy yile in white since PR usually are a place where you can go a bit crazy but of course no shower usually.

If it were me, I would go super simple and skip any decorative accents accents - this is an Onyx system

There is nothing wrong with actual tile. Any problems that you have with tile, you will have with solid surface too, unless you fix the causes behind your symptoms. Usually, it's due to insufficient ventilation. Modern grout and a good installer, make tile about as carefree as it comes.
