We built our deck about five years ago with an Ipe floor and cedar railings. I am regretting the cedar railings now because I don’t think they fit in with the overall look of the house which is a traditional shingle style house in the northeast. In a rush the first time, I put some cedar stain on that I thought was way too red. This has worn off and I’d love to get ideas for what stain we could put on the railings to make them work better with the overall look. The deck has not been stained, so is really light, but we are considering staying in it.
