Fixed VS. Sliding Glass Shower Door Options

Hi! I'm doing a bathroom renovation and trying to decide between a sliding glass door for my alcove shower (60" width) vs. a single panel piece of fixed glass. Obviously the cost and install is much less for the fixed single panel. It gives a clean look, but on the flip side, it may be drafty and less of a cozy steamy sauna vibe. The sliding doors also allow access to either end of the shower from the room and vice versa. Does anyone have a single fixed glass panel, and do you love it?

Fixed is going to be chilly. I did that in a former house and regretted it.

60" Shower is not large enough in my opinion for a single shower screen (one pc of glass). You will end up with water everywhere from splashing.

What about a fixed panel with a hinged door? We did that in two bathrooms and it worked well.

Can you post your floorplan. Sliders tend to develop problems over time and often have areas that are difficult/impossible to clean so a standard swing works better.

Thanks all! I decided I'm going with a sliding frameless door like the one in the pic above. There will be a curb.

I know that you have made a decision but the sliders can get wonky pretty fast and the track at the top can make tall folks have to duck to get past it when entering or exiting the shower
