Regarding the style, suggest a modern wood design (in a complementary stain to the other wood) and long enough for practicality and to balance the space/sectional. Consider adding a unique centrepiece (I’m a big fan of large, interesting bowls) and a few cushions to pull everything together.

I'd do round. You don't want sharp corners in the space. I like the neutrals, but might recommend a pop of color in a rug or a vase.

The first option would work if it was upholstered. In other words, a large ottoman for lounging, storage and to take trays as a table. More functions from the space.
