New windows -- does this look normal?

Hi. We had two windows replaced with Pella windows. We used their recommended contractor. But this just doesn't look very clean to me. Granted, the brick is very old (1890s), but is that huge line of caulk around the edges normal? It makes the window outline look wavy and messy to me. But maybe this is just what happens with old brick? Any thoughts from professionals much appreciated.

Not the best work I have ever seen, and cerntainly not the worst. The dent in the capping is less than ideal and just a general lack of attention to detail like Todd mentioned.

Hard to tell for sure but looks a bit sloppy in places.

I would have used a product like Vulkem 116 that matched the brick and run the bead facing the brick in order to keep a straight line on the white.

The aluminum work looks poorly installed where the casing meets the head, you should see no gaps there and that joint should not be caulked.

To me the bright white caulk draws attention to the trim/caulk - maybe an off-white or light grey would be better?

What do the other windows look like?

Caulking looks fine. Remember, he was caulking along uneven brick. Maybe a dent in the aluminum which is an easy fix.

The caulking is sloppy brick or not, heavily applied and short in spots. The aluminum on the sides should extend in to header and tabbed in the corners. The joints are excessive and dents are not acceptable.
