I'd replace the blinds and add panels just under the ceiling.

I don’t think two sets of drapes will work given the proximity of the windows (double width drapes on each side would). Would feel like this/imagine your two windows.

I think the windows are lovely, so keep it simple and just add linen roman blinds (line them based on your needs).

Art over sofa is the wrong size

IMO an ottoman with a sliding coffee table might be a better selection than the too small hinged bench being used as an ottoman.
