How to hang blinds- nowhere to mount brackets?

Our replacement bowed window ae very different than our original. I cannot figure out where to place brackets or install hardware for Blinds OR Shades.

There is no clearance above, on the outside or the inside (unless I drill into vinyl) of the window- Plus the top window has a lip that sticks out.

I cannot be the only person that has been in this situation- Help- how/where do I install blinds or shades on this type of window design?

I have had the exact same problem with a challenging bay. Mount hardware to the ceiling right in front of the window. You can do so with blind and shade hardware. For curtains, they make hardware for rods to attach to and drop down from the ceiling.

Go to a pro window-and-blind company and ask. I like the tension rod and softer fabric idea myself, but you sound like you want more privacy.

Is it something you have to close a lot? I think you could do the curtains outside of the window?

Or maybe take down the curvy trim and replace with flat trim so you can mount something onto it?
