Suggestions to update morning room

I am looking for relatively inexpensive suggestions to update my morning room. My first tgought is to take down curtains and change color on back wall. I also thought about replacing the fan- but need something that works on angled wall. I would appreciate any suggestions!

This might be an off the wall suggestion, but I think painting the back wall the same beige as the other wall and painting the ceiling blue would look good.

What is a morning room? Yes, good bye curtains. Paint the blue wall the same color as the others. Do you want a fan there for air circulation?

I do like the fan for circulation, but not absolutely necenecessary!

I see a little dog very interested in whats going on ourside. :-) It reminds me of our Wheaten Terrier who we lost a year ago. So sweet.

What is your goal for the space? Lighter and brighter? Darker and moody? Generally a morning room is light and bright.

Without seeing the rest of your home and connecting rooms here goes....

Choose a color. No accent walls. Paint all walls the same color.

Lose the graphic curtains. Go for a solid color or a more subtle pattern.

Fans or chandelier most have the opton of being on a slanted ceiling.

Is that a beam ? Is it painted yellow? Bring it to your ceiling color.

find some pretty plates and do an arrangement of them around the cabinet.

Thank you for the recommendations! I was considering going "no curtains" at all, but the height of the curtains makes the room look taller! That is not a yellow beam, it doesn't show well in the photo, but it is the wall to our kitchen and is "Agreeable Gray" from SW- the same color on the other 2 walls in the morning room. I agree to paint the blue wall Agreeable Gray. I don't love the "red wood" vibe, but it is consistent through my house so would have to switch out too many things to coordinate- however, would like to replace the old fashion china cabinet to something more modern with maybe art or a mirror above it?

Oh yes, Sonny jumped in right as I was taking the picture- he is a Cavapoo- definitely keeps us on our toes! (and has eaten the blinds that are hanging there...)

A morning room is a room that gets eastern light and would be where you have breakfast.

This Hunter Fandelier will work on a vaulted ceiling. Provides a soft light over your table and had a hidden fan inside.

You need to take a hard wood at the window treatment.

IMO using woven shades and drapery panels would add more texture and interest to the window wall.

Note you don't have the drapery panels mounted high enough in the room.

Why in the world did you select blue?????????????

Other color combinations would have been a better choice.

@BeverlyFLADeziner I had a rep from Sherwin Williams at my house (10 years ago?) and they suggested the blue accent wall as it pulled in color from art in a neighboring room. I am definitely ready for a change and plan to paint it "Agreeable Gray" to match the other walls. I love the window treatment in the first photo and the lighting recommendation- thank you!
